Hair extensions is a system whereby additional hair is added to your own hair. This can increase the volume, length and change the style of your hair.
We provide colour charts and sell colour rings for each brand so you can choose the perfect colour for you. When choosing a colour, choose a shade that matches your own hair or slightly lighter. Match the middle and ends of your hair and not the new outgrowth. *Colours may be represented differently on different computer monitors.
One set is usually enough. You may like more than one set of clip ons if you are going quite a bit longer than your own hair, your hair is thick or you have a short haircut. You can add as much hair as you like, making your new hair extensions as thick or as long as you want.
For special occasions: clubbing, parties, formals, proms, weddings, dates, night out, etc. The hair can be styled like your own hair and give the most natural looking effect!
1. Simply separate your own hair roughly about 1 inch above the nape of the neck. Secure the loose hair with a clip. Snap in your first 107mm piece and clip in. Secure the clips to your own hair.
2. Using your second 190mm piece simply repeat step 1. So your second piece lays on top of the first.
3. Repeat this step again with your 225mm piece. This is the largest piece for the back of head.
4. The smaller 40mm piece is placed on the side of your head to frame the face.
5. Release all your hair and let it fall naturally over the piece and style it to your desired look, blending in with your real hair.
No one should be able to tell. Choosing the right color and curl pattern is important. With the right application, you will know they are there but no one else will.
Your hair must be at least 5-6 inches long.
They are removed by applying a solution that dissolves the bond, leaving your hair in its original condition.
Each brand comes with care instructions. You will shampoo and condition with a mild shampoo for dry hair. You do not have to do this often. Extension hair does not get as dirty as your regular hair. The less you wash them, the longer they will last. Use a leave in detangler or glossifier. Use only low settings on curling irons and blow dryers. Let hair dry naturally if you can. Caruso steamrollers are great for extensions because they add moisture to the hair.
Extensions should not damage your hair if properly cared for and maintained. You must be careful with brushing. If you have a tangle, hold the hair while you brush it especially if your hair is fragile. Have them redone about every 6 weeks.
Yes, brush them lightly and carefully so they are not pulled out of place once you have applied them.
Our range of hair extensions comes from India where it is grown and sold by individuals for a fee. It is then processed in the factory into finished products in different textures, lengths and colours which we then sell. We do not buy or sell raw human hair as we cannot process the hair ourselves.
We recommend taking them out before your go to bed. This keeps the hair from tangling while sleeping and they are easy to put back in. The great advantage to clip on extensions is being able to take them off at night.
Some hair extensions can be applied by individuals. These are braids, weaves and clip In extensions. For other techniques, it is best to go to the trained hairdresser as this involves either singed heat or bonding glue.
There are different techniques such as bonding, weaving, braiding, strand by strand fusion, clip in, fused weft, enhancer, integration etc.
For hair weft under 20 inches, 100g hair is enough for a full head. Over 18 inches, you need to check your hair length and thickness. If you hair is shorter than shoulder length or your hair is very thick, more hair (125-150 strands) is needed to get a natural look. This again depends on the style. All our hair extensions (I-tips, U-tips, easy loop except colourful I=tips extensions) are 1 gram per strand. For other methods, eg strand by strand, you will need to consult your hairdresser.
16, 18, 20, 22, 24 and 26 inches
At first you will definitely notice your extra hair. The extra volume may also initially be an enjoyable novelty – but it is surprising how quickly you get used to having a gloriously full head of hair. Our extensions are so closely matched in look and weight to your real hair that, within hours, they start feeling entirely your own.
Your new head of hair will look and feel just like your own. You can wash, dry and style it just as you would your own hair. If you have fake hair added and are totally new to extensions, you will be advised to consult your hairdresser for your first wash and aftercare a few days after adding your extensions. After that, you are free to experiment with your new hair at home. This process is not necessary with real human hair.
Wash the hair in one direction from top to bottom. Avoid washing hair upside down in the sink. Use shampoos and conditioners that are for dry hair and add the most moisture. Wash hair right after swimming. When brushing your hair, start from the bottom and work your way up while holding the top part to keep it from shedding or stretching.
Yes, once again, you can treat your extensions just like your own hair. Wet extensions look just as natural and organic as freshly washed hair.
Moisture is the most important thing. Please do not use products for oily hair or strippers that take out chlorine or product build up. These leave the hair dry. Use styling products that have no alcohol or have low alcohol content. Products for dry hair are the best. Spray-in conditioners and glossifiers are wonderful for the ends.
Yes, you can use all of the above with real hair. However with fake hair, tongs cannot be used. Give us a call and we are happy to advise you exactly how to achieve the styles you want.
It will last up to 5 months with regular care while other techniques like weave, fused weft, bonding will last between 4 to 8 weeks. Regular maintenance is required to prolong the life of your hair extensions. After application of extension, we recommend visits back to the salon to have it checked regularly. We also recommend not to use alcohol or silicon-based shampoo and conditioner on hair extensions.
